Ask a new question. The new windows 10 seem to be great except when in comes to streaming videos from Netflix or You Tube. One might experience hearing audio but seeing no picture or seeing the picture but hearing no audio.
It was something I tried to troubleshoot with Netflix but we were in the same boat with no clue how to resolve the issue. At one point we did get it to work by simply restarting my device however, it didn't resolve the issue completely.
As the initial troubleshooting steps, I would suggest you to check all the available Windows Updates. Installation of recent Windows Updates should fix the issue. I am having the same issue - Audio but no video then error code WA, using the Netflix app. Seriously, tried the steps below to update windows 10 and to update the display drivers - non worked.
It looks like we are all in the same or similar boat. Not sure if you can jump to my thread by clicking on my username for more details, but I did the driver updates, deleted and reinstalled Silverlight, yet the Netflix Win 8.
YouTube on Edge and IE 11 won't play audio either. Of course, if I do any of this on Google Chrome, everything works great. With all of us having the same problem, one might think there would be a fix for this - how hard should this be??? The engineers at Netflix are not sure what is going on, either. I am still trying to work with them since you can at least talk to a human being at that company directly. Of course, all the troubleshooters and system scans show no issues, but the fact remains that our programs are not working.

Have you tested the issue using Internet Explorer? How have you tried troubleshooting Netflix? At the Start screen, type Windows Update. Select Check for Update. Download and Install the latest Windows Updates. If the issue still persists, then try updating the Display driver and check. Let us know if it helps. In reply to RajithR's post on August 5, I have the same problem and nothing seems to fix it. I have reinstalled Silverlight, updated the display driver and have all the recent updates from Windows. On Netflix I get only sound and error code WA I can't stream videos on facebook but youtube works most of the time.
Andrew Jones In reply to Andrew Jones 68's post on August 6, I have been having the same problems and downloading the updates has not really helped out, it still doesn't give me a display for Netflix just audio.

In reply to J Grace's post on August 12, I also have tried all the recommendations that have been suggested but sadly I am still getting sounds but no visual display. I did upgrade my two daughters laptops Netflix works fine on their laptops.
Their display adapter is different than mine. I have downloaded the newest drivers and software for my display adapter from HP. So I download the latest software and drivers from AMD. I can watch netflix using google Chrome.
